Patient Accounts

The Patient Accounts section deal with the invoicing and receipting of Inpatient Maintenance Charges and Emergency Department Charges. The hospital provides public and private accommodation, hence the patients are charged accordingly.

Private Insurance Cover: We have direct payment schemes with: VHI, Irish Life Health, Laya Healthcare, Garda Medical Aid, Prison Officers Medical Aid, ESB

When the billing status is confirmed the Patients are appropriately billed in accordance with statutory regulations and it is the responsibility of the department to control the billing and ensure efficient and timely collection of outstanding debts.

Payment of accounts can be made by cash, cheque, and postal order or by telephone using Laser, Visa, and MasterCard etc.

NGH Patient Accounts Department are currently operating a telephone facilitate from 10:30 – 4:00pm whereby a patient can pay their invoice over the phone and as per the norm, cheques and postal orders will be facilitated also. The Patient Accounts department remains closed to the public due to Covid-19 and opening hours will resume in accordance with the phases set in place by government.
