We perform the following tests:

  • Spirometry (PFT)
  • Reversibility/Bronchodilator Response (PFT)
  • Diffusion Capacity –DLCO (PFT)
  • Lung Volumes (PFT)
  • Hypoxic Challenge (Pre Flight Assessment)*
  • Respiratory Muscle Strength - MIP, MEP, SNIP
  • Overnight Oximetry

  • Provocation Challenge (Mannitol)
  • Skin Allergy Test

*Naas General Hospital is the only hospital in Ireland to perform this test.

We are committed to research and frequently present our work nationally and internationally. As a teaching hospital, we offer students placements that last two to three months which helps them gain valuable skills and insights for their careers.

Referrals

Referrals for PFT’s can be made only through the consultants and their team in Naas General Hospital. The referral forms are located in the outpatient examination rooms, on the wards, in the day hospital and in the office in the Emergency Department.
