Responsibilities and Reporting Structure
As laid down in legislation, Health & Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
(SHWW Act 2005)
In Naas General Hospital we identify health and safety risks through our incident/accident reporting system.
These forms are aggregated and data them reported to our General Manager and relevant other people. The aggregated data is used by the relevant committee to adapt and amend policies and procedures as appropriate.
Health and Safety Information Requirements
As per Part 3 Section 20 of the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, we have:
· A current safety statement.
· Incident/accident date
· Internal audits
· External audits
· Contribution to external databases e.g. HSA
