The Allen Ward is a 31-bedded acute surgical unit.
Our goal is to meet the needs of our patients to the best of our ability.
The Allen Ward is a 31-bedded acute surgical unit. It consists of four 6-bed bays, one 3-bed bay, and four single rooms, which are designated for isolation purposes in the case of infections.
Allen Ward accepts admissions from the Emergency Department (ED), transfers from other wards and from other hospitals.
Nursing services are organised and administered using a team nursing approach.
The Roper, Logan and Tierney model of Nursing Care is used to assess, plan, put in place and check patients’ needs and requests. Family and relatives are actively encouraged to participate in the patient’s treatment programme.
