Our dedicated Isolation Ward is a purpose-built clinical facility designed to provide expert care for patients with infectious conditions.

Facilities

We provide the following State-of-the-Art Facilities:

  • 12 Fully Equipped Isolation Rooms: Designed for patient comfort and effective infection control.
  • Ensuite Bathrooms: Ensuring personal hygiene while minimising contamination risk.
  • Patient Call Bell Systems: For immediate assistance and continuous patient support.
  • Television & Wall mount monitors.

The Team

Swan Ward is staffed by a compassionate and skilled multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to deliver holistic care. The team includes Specialist Doctors, Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Catering Staff, Cleaners, and a Secretary.

Infection Control Practices

The Team are committed to strict infection control practices, which include:

  • Rigorous personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols
  • Strict enforcement of hand hygiene
  • Continuous training for staff and monitoring of compliance
  • Controlled entry and exit points to minimize exposure

Our isolation ward meets national healthcare safety standards, ensuring a secure environment for recovery and specialised treatment.

Visiting

To visit:

  • outside of normal visiting hours
  • in the case of critically ill patients
  • in exceptional circumstances

Please seek the agreement of the nurse manager on duty.

Recommended visiting duration is 30 minutes.

Children under 12 years, apart from patients own children, should not be brought to visit.

Additional restrictions will apply from time to time e.g. during outbreaks of infectious diseases.
